Pants on the Ground: Sagging Jeans Help Police Nab Detroit Teens

Suspects couldn't run away due to saggy pants

DETROIT (WJBK) - Teens on the run from Detroit police didn't make it very far thanks to their saggy pants.

Police say the teens were breaking into houses on Lauder Street on Detroit's west side. When neighbors saw the teens creeping around and hiding in bushes, they alerted authorities.

After a short car chase down Six Mile Road, the crooks crashed their white vehicle into a pole and tried to get away on foot. But they didn't make it very far thanks to pants sagging way below their midsections, according to witnesses.

Police say all five suspects were arrested and now face charges.
