SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) - A college student is murdered in cold blood. Now, his grieving family is working with Crime Stoppers -- hoping to find his killer.
23-Year-Old Darrell Smith was murdered on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 on Detroit's west side at Longacre And Plymouth Roads.
Officer Jimenez, from the Detroit Police Department Homicide Section, tells Fox2 Smith was standing at the rear of his white Infinity with a female when two suspects began firing shots.
Smith was a student at Central State in Ohio and was home visiting because his mother was sick. "I don't understand how this could happen to someone like Darrell," said Carol Smith, Darrell's mother.
