Trenton, Michigan
myFOXDetroit.com Staff - A woman made headlines around the world for teasing and tormenting a sick little girl, dying of the same disease that killed her mother. That unfortunate incident led to an outpouring of love and support for Kathleen Edward from donations around the world to a toy store shopping spree. Saturday, a huge rally was also held in her honor.

The Tigers mascot Paws paid a visit Edward's home Friday and put a smile on her face.
"It's a blast to see her smiling like that," said Becky Rose, Edward's grandmother.
It's been a few weeks since FOX 2 first told you about Jennifer Petkov, who taunted the dying child and her family in person and on Facebook putting Edward's face on a skull and crossbones and her dead mother in the arms of the Grim Reaper. It's all part of a neighborhood dispute involving the girl's grandmother. (Click here to watch Ron Savage's original story.)
The Petkovs apologized, but the backlash was big. Scott Petkov lost his job. His wife was arrested for trying to run over a neighbor. However, for Edward, the response to the taunts has been nothing but love, gifts, shopping trips and a huge rally on Saturday.
"It's not about anything negative," said Michelle Yerigian. "It's all about showing the love, and there is so much love out there."
