(WJBK) - Not everyone is in love with Chrysler's two-minute "Imported from Detroit" ad that aired during Sunday night's Super Bowl.

While Motor City residents flooded to talk radio and social media web sites like Facebook and Twitter with glowing praise of the spot that featured Eminem driving through the gritty streets of Detroit in a Chrysler 200 sedan before telling viewers, "This is the Motor City, and this is what we do," a writer at the Washington Post saw it in a different light.

Hank Stuever wrote in his blog Monday morning: "I puzzled over Chrysler's daring yet laughably pretentious ad about a Detroit rebirth, in which Eminem drives meaningfully though the Motor City. Tagline: "Imported from Detroit." It was a bold statement, delivered unconvincingly."

On top of Stuever's post, an article on sports blog site The Big Lead read: "The trouble is (the commerical) has zero relevance for anyone outside Detroit, and those are the people who aren’t buying American cars."

On the other hand, the Associated Press quoted NM Incite , a company that tracks online buzz, as saying the Chrysler ad was "the big story of the night."

The New York Post reported Monday that Eminem was an unexpected star of the Super Bowl.

"Chrysler's ad will actually make people consider buying a Chrysler," said Ian Schafer, CEO of Deep Focus, a marketing agency in Manhattan, N.Y.

So, what's your opinion? What did you think of the Chrysler commercial?
