SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) - Try as he might, Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano can't get himself off the hot seat.

An FBI probe into the financial dealings of the county lead Ficano to show several of his closest advisors the door, but as FOX 2's Charlie LeDuff explains, the gesture may be too little, too late.

"Lost in all the talk about the City of Detroit having no money is the fact that Detroit is the capital of Wayne County," says LeDuff. "When you go looking behind the doors of the politically connected in Wayne County, you'll find there's plenty of money -- if you're a friend of Bob's."
