Bonnie Patrick
State Senate-District 5
Wayne County
Why are you running for office?
As a life long resident of Michigan I am concerned for my children and grandchildren. I would like them to be able to grow up in this great state like I did. I am running for the senate to bring accountability to Lansing and eliminate wasteful spending.
What is the biggest problem facing Michigan residents today and how would you solve it?
The biggest problem is the lack of jobs and high taxes. I would eliminate the business tax. A free market is the only way to bring jobs back to Michigan.
What's a better solution: finding revenue or cutting costs to meet Michigan's public education budget? How would you do it?
The best solution is to cut costs to meet Michigan's education budget. I would eliminate the programs that don't work or over lap each other and use that money on the programs that work well and are successful.
What's the best way to create jobs for Michigan residents?
Bring businesses back to Michigan by eliminating the business tax and making Michigan a business friendly state.
After you leave this earth, what will they say about you?
I hope that people would say that I was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and good friend who was patriotic and willing to help others.
