SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) - The Consumer Product Safety Commission reports a voluntary recall on certain General Electric Monogram Pro Rangetops with Grills. They say there is an explosion risk.

The recall affects rangetops that use liquified petroleum, otherwise known as LP gas or propane, as well as natural gas units converted for LP gas use. The CPSC says it's possible burners may not light if the gas control knob is left between the OFF and LITE positions. This could cause delayed ignition or an explosion.

So far, six explosions have been reported to GE. None of them resulted in fires or injuries.

The recall involves units sold nationwide from May 2008 to August 2011. GE will repair the units for free.
