SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) - President Obama plans to pull all troops out of Afghanistan by 2014, but about 100,000 men and women are currently serving there. They won't be home for Christmas.

Fox 2's Ron Savage talked to two Marines at Camp Leatherneck. Click on the video player to watch his live interview.

Marine Master Sgt. Mark Kennedy from Pontiac and Marine Lane Corporal Naharon Shaba of Warren joined us live via satellite. They got the chance to say hello to their families in Metro Detroit on the air. They also talked about their jobs as members of the Marine Corps and some of the activities they enjoy including soccer and singing.

Our thoughts are with all of our hometown heroes serving overseas and their families here at home celebrating the holidays without them and awaiting their safe return.
