myFOXDetroit.com Staff Reports

17,000 Michigan households are supossed to be on tap to receive a gift from Uncle Sam. It's called the "Hardest Hit Fund" -- money that is supposed to save their homes from foreclosure.

However, the program is causing frustration, anger and a lot of confusion.

Murray Feldman talks to the people who are at the heart of the program -- Mary Townley, the director of the Home Ownership Division at the Michigan State Housing Development Authority and Dennis Koone, president and CEO of the Michigan Bankers Association. Plus, FOX 2's Andrea Isom spoke to Tammy Davis, a metro Detroiter who may be on her way to grabbing some of the money. Click on the first video to watch her report.
