myFOXdetroit.com - Your Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers Game Of The Week, Detroit Cass Tech and Warren De La Salle.
For Cass Tech, a win for them and they'd be right back where they were a year ago in the state semis, for De La Salle, they moved up a division this year, and the Pilots were proving that they belong.
After a scoreless 1st quarter, De La Salle went with some trickery to keep a drive alive in the 2nd, on 4th down Shane Morris runs the fake punt and finds Zack Ba-Harryfor the 1st down. But on the drive. the Pilots missed a field goal, still 0's on the board.
Later in the second quarter, big play from Cass Tech, Jayruu Campbell throws for Ruben Lyle down to the 4 yard line. But cass would miss a chip shot field goal and the went to the half 0 - 0.
Both teams turned the ball over in the 3rd quarter keeping the game scoreless so 0 - 0 headed to the 4th. The Technicians had possession virtually the entire quarter converting 5, 4th down conversions. Royce Jenkins-Stone breaks the 0-0 tie with a 3-yard touchdown run with 1:38 to go in the game. But Cass Tech missed the extra point so it was a 6-0 Cass Tech with 1:38 to go.
Last chance for De La Salle but Shane Morris can't connect on a 4th and 18 play.
Cass Tech returns to the state semis for the 2nd straight year beating De La Salle 6 - 0.
