After a sloppy 1st quarter, things got going in the 2nd.  1st play of the quarter, Jodi Harrison for Pontiac throws an interception to Ivan kharchenko and takes it to the house 27yards for the touchdown, 7 - 0 Athens.

On the ensuing drive, Pontiac turns it over and Lonnie Bolden takes it in from a yard out and just like that it was 14-0 Athens.

After a 3 and out by Pontiac, Kris Gervin powers his way in for a 13yard touchdown run.  Athens missed the extra point, 20 - 0 Athens at this point.

Pontiac got on the board just before the half, Ben Bartnowak throws it to Ronnie Craft-Bush who uses some quick moves, breaking a couple of tackles and gets in the endzone.

Pontiac tried an onside kick to run out the clock in the 1st half but kicked it out of bounds.  So with 2.9 seconds left, Kris Gervin busted out a 56-yard td run as time ran out in the 1st half, 27 - 7 Athens at the half.

The second half was dominated by both defenses, Pontiac kept Troy out of the endzone, but only managed 6 points themselves.

Troy Athens, in Josh Heppner's 3rd year as coach, now 2-and-0 on the season as they beat Pontiac 27-14.
