What was Brendan Gibbons thinking about before his game-winning field goal in the Sugar Bowl?
Girls. Brunettes to be exact.
When asked what was going through his mind before the attempt, Michigan's kicker said:
"Brunette Girls … Everytime we were struggling at kicking, coach always tells me to think about girls on a beach or brunette girls. So that’s what we did and we made the kick."
Gibbons' 37-yard field goal lifted the No. 13 Wolverines to a 23-20 win over 11th-ranked Virginia Tech at the Superdome Tuesday night.
The win capped the Wolverines 11-win season, the first under head coach Brady Hoke.
