SAN MATEO, Calif. - Tom Martinez, the longtime personal coach to New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, has died at 67.
Martinez's wife, Olivia, told the San Mateo Daily Journal that he died Tuesday after suffering a heart attack while receiving dialysis treatment.
Tom Martinez worked with Brady when he was a teenager growing up in San Mateo, Calif. Their relationship continued during Brady's NFL career.

Tom Martinez coached at College of San Mateo and told the San Francisco Chronicle (http://bit.ly/xSIrhf ) before the Patriots' Super Bowl matchup against the New York Giants this year that he always enjoyed working with Brady and watching him play.
Brady was equally complimentary, telling reporters before the Super Bowl that Martinez taught him how to throw a football, and he was "forever indebted" to him.
