Eva Mendes Talks Beauty Tips, But Not Ryan Gosling

(EndPlay Staff Reports) - Eva Mendes is known for staying mum on all things personal in her life, and she continues that trend in an interview with Marie Claire , in which she also graces the cover.

The 37-year-old actress mostly discussed her career, but also divulged some of her beauty and fitness regime.

In her latest role, Mendes plays a narcissistic mother who doesn't notice the changes in her teenage daughter in the film, "Girl in Progress."

It's a departure from the usual "other woman" role that Mendes often plays. She hopes this will open up more serious parts, similar to what her idols, Julianne Moore and Annette Benning, often play.

"I have a girl crush on them," Mendes said of the two. "I'd kill to have half the careers they've had after 40."

She also recently finished filming "The Place Beyond the Pines," in which she co-stars with her current boyfriend, Ryan Gosling, The Huffington Post reported.

The only information she would divulge about her co-star was that she enjoyed working with him.

People featured more of the Marie Claire interview and reported that Mendes described Gosling as, "He's your dream costar. I have never felt so creatively satisfied on a film. He's amazing."

But when the interviewer attempted to probe Mendes for more information, the actress laughed and told her that to "stop," and that she felt that it was too personal to discuss.
