(New York Post) - The FBI is investigating a New Jersey teen for allegedly sending threatening tweets to "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Taylor Armstrong.
The teenage girl, using the now-deactivated Twitter handle "hardboiledpeggs," sent Armstrong several tweets, including one in which she threatened Armstrong's young daughter Kennedy, according to Radar Online.
In another tweet, the teen allegedly threatened to "kidnap" Armstrong when she appears at Bookends in Ridgewood, N.J., on Tuesday to sign copies of her new book, "Hiding from Reality: My Story of Love, Loss, and Finding the Courage Within."
"See u on February 7 ill be there with a book and a rope so i can kidnap u," read the first tweet, to which Armstrong responded, "Don't ever contact me again."
But hardboiledpeggs then sent Armstrong another tweet reading, "Turn around bright eyes every now and then, Kennedy's dead," according to the Radar report.
Security has now been stepped up for Armstrong's New Jersey book signing.
The FBI knows who made the threats, according to the report.
"The death threats Taylor and her daughter received are from a teenage girl that lives in New Jersey," a source told Radar. "The teenager appears to suffer from mental health issues."
Armstrong's husband, Russell Armstrong, who was featured on the Bravo series, committed suicide last summer amid financial problems.
Representatives for Bravo had no comment.
