(NewsCore) - Her life in recent months has been all kiss and tell -- and Sandra Bullock took to the stage at the MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles Sunday night to engage in some kissing and telling of her own.
Bullock made her first televised awards appearance since she picked up the Best Actress Oscar for "The Blind Side" in early March -- and made it a memorable occasion by smooching Scarlett Johansson.
On Saturday night she had shown up unannounced on stage at Spike TV's "Guys Choice" awards in Los Angeles, where she accepted the "Troops Choice" Award for entertainer of the year, which was voted on by members of the military.
Bullock had been in seclusion since, in the days following her Oscars triumph, it was revealed her husband Jesse James had cheated on her.
Bullock has since filed for divorce and finalized adoption of a son, Louis Bardo Bullock.
At the MTV awards Bullock was presented with the Generation Award -- given for lifetime achievement -- but which she defined as something that goes to "old people" clearing the way for the younger generation.
"That's not going to happen. I'm staying," Bullock told the crowd after receiving a standing ovation.
"Because no matter what you might have seen or heard or read lately, I love what I do. And I'm not going anywhere."
Bullock also took the opportunity to clear up some of the stories that have been written about her.
"Number one, I'm not dead. Number two, everyone has cellulite, not just me. Paparazzi need more flattering lenses. And whoever established the high road and how high it was gonna be should be fired."
Dazzling in a sparkly black mini dress with a plunging back, Bullock also questioned Johansson's presence on stage with her, describing it as a "little weird."
Johannson explained she was filling in for her husband Ryan Reynolds -- Bullock's co-star in "The Proposal" -- and thought they should have won the night's Best Kiss award which instead went to "Twilight" stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.
Johansson said Bullock's and Reynolds' kiss was "so sweet" before moving in to lock lips with Bullock herself.
Once done, Bullock said: "Can we please go back to normal -- because therapy is really expensive."
Finally she asked everyone to take a moment to consider the devastating oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
"When we all go to bed at night we should think about all the people that are being affected in the Gulf and just say a prayer for them," she said.
