(NewsCore) - Rapper Snoop Dogg said he could lend ’American Idol’ some ’pizazz’ if he were chosen as a judge on the popular TV singing competition, WENN news reported Wednesday.
’I like that show. I think it’s missing some pizazz and I can give it what it’s missing -- if they get their bread together, cut me in and cut me out. I got to get paid,’ the hip hop star said.
Snoop Dogg might not get the chance to strut his stuff on the show though as Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, 62, is thought to be the top choice to serve as a judge on ’Idol’s’ 10th season.
Founding judge Simon Cowell left the show after nine seasons and FOX announced in July its rookie judge, comedian Ellen DeGeneres, would not continue after her one-season stint.
No announcement has been made on whether remaining judges Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi will stay on but reports have suggested that DioGuardi will not return.
A spokeswoman for FOX said Wednesday that they had no information regarding a judge announcement at this time.
