Steve Noviello talks about three things that you can be getting for FREE that your neighbor is probably paying for ... you just need to know the tricks.
FREE HDTV: Did you know your local TV stations broadcast over-the-air signals in HD, and all you need is an antenna to see them on your HDTV? Believe it or not, the picture is actually better than anything you'd see from cable or a dish-based service. Just go to AntennaWeb.org to find out where you should direct your antenna for the best service.
FREE CREDIT REPORTS: Beware of the ads you see on the web -- some of them aren't really "free." The one site that is truly free, and guaranteed by the three credit agencies, is AnnualCreditReport.com
FREE CHECKING: If you don't have a minimum of, say, $10,000 in combined accounts in your bank, you'll probably end up paying for checking. If you're paying for your checking, you should ask your bank to waive the fee, or take your business elsewhere. Credit unions usually have no fee for checking accounts.
