(NewsCore) - The FBI apologized to a Massachusetts woman after cutting open her front door and pointing a gun at her during a drugs raid on the wrong apartment.

Around 10 agents burst into the Fitchburg home of Judy Sanchez last week as she was caring for her three-year-old daughter, the Sentinel and Enterprise newspaper reported.

After ripping open her door with a chainsaw, they ordered her to lay face down on the floor at gunpoint for at least 30 minutes and would not allow her to get dressed, she claimed.

The officers eventually realized they had targeted the wrong apartment -- and should have raided the home of a suspected gang leader who lived on another floor.

The FBI apologized for the mistake and said it would pay for repairs to Sanchez's door.
