BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) - An Indiana University nursing student has been hospitalized after her bicycle crashed during practice for the Little 500. Officials say 23-year-old senior Lauren Gill was about 3 laps into Thursday's 25-lap race when a cyclist in front of her slowed down. The two bicycles' tires touched and Gill was hurled over the handlebars of her bike. Gill was wearing a helmet but was still injured when she landed on her head and shoulders. The Little 500 bicycle race is April 26 in Bloomington.
