Working for the Fox 2 family is a career high point. I have the privilege of pursuing my passion for uncovering the truth and reporting the facts nightly on FOX 2 News. But I'm grateful that I also get to have fun anchoring our friendly Sunday morning show with Jay Towers and Jessica Starr-- make sure to tune in as you enjoy your Sunday morning coffee!
Growing up in LivingstonCounty, I was able to watch all three TV markets I would eventually work as a reporter and anchor in: Lansing, Flint and Detroit. I always had a passion for journalism, and to be able to have a career in my home state is really a dream come true.
It was in Flint that I met (and co-anchored with) the man who would become my husband, Fox 2's Jason Carr. We married in 2007 and welcomed the joy of our lives,our daughter, Gia, in 2011! We also have a dog from the Humane Society, Sami,who graciously shares us with our daughter (mostly).
I have been fortunate to receive an 2 Emmy Awards. In 2006, for investigative reporting exposing the cause of a deadly natural gas explosion that killed several members of a family. In 2009, I won another for exposing extensive nursing home abuse in Warren.
It has also been my honor to receive awards from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters and Associated Press, most recently for an investigative story I did exposing a Wayne County Body Transporter, who had been convicted of stealing from the dead, yet I caught him still on the job and he was fired.
