Days after it was revealed that a former actress and Miss Iceland is the anonymous tipster who ended Whitey Bulger and Catherine Greig's years on the run, many are wondering if her name should've been revealed.
According to a Boston Globe report, 57-year-old Anna Bjornsdottir collected the estimated $2 million in reward money.
While officials say it's unlikely she's in danger, her identification may compromise future efforts to get the public involved.
According to the report, Bjornsdottir splits her time between Iceland and the same Santa Monica neighborhood that Bulger and Greig lived in.
Bjornsdottir recognized Greig from the FBI's recent publicity campaign as the woman from across the street who cared for a stray cat.
Bjornsdottir is an actress and was crowned Miss Iceland in 1974.
