Chicago's Most Wanted Update: Search for Corey Frierson

26 year old Corey Frierson is the most wanted fugitive by Chicago FBI agents. He's been on the run for over a year now following a late December 2009 bank robbery in south suburban Country Club Hills.

Investigators believe Frierson is the mastermind behind the trio of men who robbed the First Midwest Bank branch just before Christmas. Newly released bank security camera video shows Frierson and two other men entering the bank, armed with Uzi submachine guns. While one suspect stood guard in the lobby, agents believe Frierson jumped the counter and took large amounts of cash from each of the teller drawers. The video also shows the third suspect staying outside, acting as a lookout and getaway driver.

Investigators came close to capturing Frierson last summer near Lexington, Mississippi. Local police pulled him over for a traffic stop because he was acting suspicious. When they walked back to their squad car to check out Frierson's driver license, they say he ran in to the nearby woods. Agents add the Ohio driver’s license Frierson handed over was a fake.

Since then, agents believe Frierson may have returned to the Chicago area. A $20,000 reward is being offered for any information leading to his arrest.

Here is a detailed description of what investigators say Frierson looks like. He is described as a black male, 6'0", 200 pounds, with a light complexion and freckles.

Frierson is considered armed and dangerous.
