Chicago's Most Wanted Stickney Bank Robber

Posted:

It's pretty obvious that the bandit who robbed a Stickney bank back in April is a Chicago Bears fan. That's not all investigators noticed about him. While this bandit was wearing a ski cap with a Chicago Bears emblem on it, he made no other attempts to conceal his identity. The FBI's Ross Rice adds "We do have some good photos of the robber; we just don't know his name."

Agents believe this bandit robbed a TCF bank branch in the 7100 block of west 40th street in Stickney on April 20th. Witnesses say the robber approached the teller counter and handed a note to the teller announcing a robbery and demanding cash. Investigators also say the bandit implied he was armed and threatened the bank employee with harm but no weapon was displayed.

As this bandit was about to make his getaway, his plan hit a snag. Agents say a security dye pack, included with the money, activated as the robber was leaving the bank. He then dropped the bag with the money in it; most of the cash was recovered. Witnesses believe that the robber escaped in a waiting ford automobile that was driven by a female accomplice.

Here is a description of what agents say this bandit looks like. He is described as a white or Hispanic male, 5' 9" - 5' 10", 30 - 39 years old, with brown hair and eyes and a medium build.

He is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, call police.
