Does the word “summer” make you cringe with fear about trying on your bathing suit? Well, before you start trying to lose that gut or love handle, know that spot reducing with exercise, or using an electric stimulator simply doesn’t work.

Losing fat is not a targeted process, like building muscle is. You need an overall program that includes two big elements.

Number one: stamina training. Choose workouts easy on your bones and joints, like rowing, cycling, or using an elliptical machine.

And, number two: resistance training. Which are squats, knee bends, or weight lifting. Train for just 10 minutes, three times a week to maintain back burning muscle mass.

And, finally, eat smaller portioned meals for less caloric intake. You reduce everywhere, and look and feel younger.
