An audience member claims that her c-section scar, a result from 4 years ago, has taken on a keloidal appearance. She asks if there is anything that she can do to help reduce the appearance of the scar.
Dr. Oz responds by telling the Caucasian woman that the scar is not a keloid, and that this condition is usually prevalent in Afro-Americans. Regular scar appearance can usually be helped by massage, lanolin, or Vitamin E applications.
Another audience member had heart surgery operation years ago, and claims the scar area is still numb. She the mesh that was placed near the surgically repaired organ tends to pop-out on occasion as well. Dr. Oz informs her that neither condition is a big deal, so long as pain is absent, but that it would be a good idea to keep an eye on it.
