Jean-Claude Brizard has been tapped by Mayor-elect Rahm Emanuel to become the next CEO of the Chicago Public Schools.
Brizard has had a career in education that spans more than 21 years, most recently serving as Supt. of Schools for the Rochester City School District in New York.
A native of Haiti, Brizard is a commercial pilot, according to his biography on the Rochester City School District website.
He is married to K. Brooke Brizard and has two children.
