Chicago Public School students are going on spring break next wee, and Mayor Daley wants to make sure they stay out of trouble.
Tuesday the mayor outlined several city programs available to keep students occupied during their week away from class.
Roughly 100 churches are joining with city departments to support Chicago's Safe Haven programs. They offer performing arts, dance contests and tutoring opportunities.
The mayor said he wants parents to know more about the programs so their children will take advantage of them.
