Someone discovered a Facebook post made by Troy Mayor Janice Daniels. She wrote this on her wall: "I think I am going to throw away my I Love New York carrying bag now that queers can get married there."
On Monday, protesters swarmed Troy's City Hall, demanding Mayor Janice Daniels step down because of the Facebook comments.
Daniels doesn't deny she wrote the words, adding that she did so nearly six months ago. Fox 2 has learned the post was made on June 25, 2011. She says she's sorry, but adds that she's not going anywhere.
