General Assignment/Investigative Reporter (REG. FULL-TIME)
WJBK's News Department is seeking an individual for an immediate opportunity as a General Assignment/Investigative Reporter for newscasts. Must be enterprising and have at least five years on-air experience in a mid to major sized market. Strong live and production techniques a must. Investigative experience required. Primary responsibilities to include establishing contacts, identify stories of relevance to the community, writing ad presenting material for on-air and online platforms. Other duties as deemed appropriate and as assigned.
Working knowledge of non-linear editing equipment is preferred, as well as knowledge of broadcast cameras. Must have extensive experience in broadcast reporting. Candidate must meet aggressive deadlines while still completing high quality stories. Must have a valid driver's license. Ability to thoroughly, accurately, and properly research all information for on-air stories. Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Bachelor's degree in Journalism or equivalent work experience required.
