Italian Appetizer Kabobs

Try this party-friendly, portion controlled version of a favorite salad. By using kabob sticks, these appetizers are easy to eat and serve, and offers a veggie in partnership with every cube of cheese and salami. Make sure vegetables are a part of all your courses to enhance the eye appeal and the nutrition of your menus.

Italian Appetizer Kabobs

Active Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes
Amount: 28 kabobs

Ingredients:

8 ounces mozzarella cheese
7 ounces Genoa salami
28 Farm Stand® Grape Tomatoes
28 fresh basil leaves
1 (5.75 ounce) can jumbo pitted ripe olives, drained
28 (6-inch) wooden skewers
¼ cup Essential Everyday™ Italian Salad Dressing

Directions:

1. Cut mozzarella and salami into 28 cubes. Wrap tomatoes with basil leaves.
2. Thread basil wrapped tomatoes, cheese, salami and olives onto skewers in desired pattern.
3. Brush with Italian dressing. Sprinkle with cracked pepper and salt, if desired.

Tip: Cooked shrimp or 1-inch cubes of cooked turkey, chicken or ham can be substituted for the salami, if desired.
