Truck crash causes massive power outage in Canton

Canton, Mich. (WJBK) -

Crews have restored electricity to a large part of Canton after a tractor trailer crashed into a utility pole, knocking out six main power lines.

Canton Police say the crash happened at the intersection of Ford and Lilley causing a widespread power outage to both residential and commercial properties and at least seven major traffic intersections.

Those areas affected included, Ford & Canton Center, Ford & Sheldon, Ford & Lilley, Hanford & Sheldon, Hanford & Lilley, Joy & Sheldon and Michigan & I-275.

 No injuries were reported from the initial accident and power has since been restored.
