DTE plans power outages for parts of Detroit

DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -

Residents living in some Detroit neighborhoods can expect to lose power for several hours as DTE Energy works to make what's being called routine repairs.

According to a statement from DTE crews will be turning off power to about 1,700 customers living in the Livernois and Outer Drive area between 7 Mile and 8 Mile Roads, east of Picadilly and west of Woodward Avenue.

The planned outage is scheduled for June 7 from 7:00a.m. to about 12:00p.m. the same day.

According to DTE Energy the company says this work is part of normal day-to-day system maintenance. City of Detroit and community leaders have been notified.
