Golf event to raise money for breast cancer programs

Oakwood Healthcare System is hosting its 20th Annual Women's Healthcare Classic on Monday, June 11.  It's a great way you can help provide breast cancer care for women who otherwise couldn't afford it.

The yearly golf event has raised nearly $5-million dollars to benefit breast cancer programs.

Money raised provides funding for hundreds of free mammograms, wigs for women undergoing chemotherapy, as well as transportation, counseling and education programs.

The event takes place at two locations.  There's an all women's golf outing from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Dearborn Country Club and a "Friends of the Classic" outing for guys and corporate groups at the TPC from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The day wraps up with dinner and a live auction at the Dearborn Country Club.
