A new effort is ready to roll to help get you around Detroit a little easier.
25-year-old entrepreneur Andy Didorosi from Ferndale will launch the Detroit Bus Company on Friday.
The new bus line will consist of five fully renovated, full-size school buses.
A day pass will cost you $5 and you'll be able to hitch rides between Greektown, downtown, Corktown, Mexicantown and Midtown.
"We're trying to make buses more fun. Usually, public transit is a face down, dreary sort of thing. It's your last resort to be on the bus, right? So, we're living it up with some music on the inside, art on the outside, friendly drivers and just trying to make the whole thing a lot more fun, more social. It's a different experience," said Didorosi.
The Detroit Bus Company will also run during all home Tigers games.
