The water level on Lake Minnetonka is up more than one foot since the start of May.
On Monday, the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District had the lake measured at 929.14 feet, exactly one foot higher than the mark on May 4.

Not long ago, many worried water levels would dip low due to a persistent drought -- and that's why the dam at Grey's Bay was closed off. After recent rains, however, it reopened late last month.
The Minnehaha Watershed District said the higher water arrived just in time to stop many homeowners from scrambling to lengthen their docks.
"It's still not ideal canoeing conditions but there is some flow," says Renae Clark with the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District. "Might still be a bit low for this time of year, but for July-August it's certainly normal."
Despite the increase many would like to see the lake level increase another foot.
