A scandal is developing surrounding the show House Hunters on HGTV. A former guest says she has proof the show is fake.
On House Hunters, a prospective buyer tours three properties, and at the end, one home is chosen to buy.
Now, one woman is coming forward saying producers made up a back story for her with a fake reason behind her move. And, she says producers wouldn't have her on the show until she closed on a new house. Only then did they scramble to find other houses for her to pretend she was interested in.
The woman says she ended up touring two of her friend's homes which weren't even on the market.
HGTV is not exactly denying that House Hunters is partially fake either. The show's director says because the buying process moves fast, often times what their cameras capture is the second or third time the families visit the prospective homes.
