The event benefiting Karmanos Cancer Institute will be hosted at
MotorCity Casino Hotel from 7 p.m. to midnight (VIP, 6 p.m. to
midnight), on Friday, June 22nd.
Guests will experience the flavors, sounds, and fashions of Hour
Detroit's Best of Detroit winners, as voted by Hour Detroit readers in
the magazine's 13th annual poll. In the extraordinary ballroom and
Soundboard of MotorCity Casino Hotel, guests will groove to the
infectious sounds and talent of The English Beat, Killer Flamingos,
Kenneth Thomas and Shawn Michaels. Jay Towers of FOX 2 and Fresh 100
will emcee throughout the evening.
Tickets for Hour Detroit's Best of Detroit Party are $85 for general admission and $125 for VIP access. Both types of tickets are available here

Red Coat Tavern's Cajun Tenderloin Tips
Ingredients:
· 5 oz tenderloin - trimmed of all excess fat and silver
· Cajun spice
· 2 tbs butter
· ½ oz bourbon
· 1 tbs chopped shallots
· 3 oz heavy cream
Instructions:
· In a bowl, coat tenderloin with 1 tbs Cajun spice
· In a sauté pan, add butter and blacken the tenderloin to medium rare and remove
· In same pan, add another tbs of butter and shallots - be careful not to burn them
· Deglaze pan with bourbon
· Add heavy cream and ½ tsp Cajun spice
· Reduce by half
· Pour onto plate and add tenderloin - garnish with black toast point and parsley
