DETROIT (WJBK) -
A Commerce Township teen was arrested for Felonious Assault after police say he bit his father. The son was also breaking dishes and threatened his father with a kitchen knife.
According to a release, the fight started at the home when the father confronted his 17-year-old son about him stealing and pawning family jewelry. After the confrontation, the son became violent and broke dishes on the floor and then threatened his father with a 12-inch kitchen knife.
The father wrestled the knife away, but in the commotion he received a bite mark on his arm. When deputies arrived, the father was restraining his son on the floor.
