Here's a clever way to get into college. Lawrence Yong was placed on the University of Michigan's waiting list, but the California teen refused to give up his dream of becoming a Wolverine.
Instead, he revamped the lyrics to the Jackson 5 tune "I Want You Back" and posted a video on YouTube asking the admissions office to give him another look.
The effort worked. Yong was one of only 42 students to be accepted from a long waiting list, AnnArbor.com reports.
He credits YouTube users for all of their support.
