A cancer patient from Seattle has been allowed to swim topless in a community pool.

Jodi Jaeks was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, and underwent a double mastectomy to save her life.

Jaeks says she ran into an unsolvable problem trying to find a swimsuit with a comfortable fit, so she asked if she could go topless.

At first the Seattle Parks and Recreation Department said no, but then reversed their decision.

Jaecks believes cancer patients should not be made to feel self conscious by asking for special permission.

She's now trying to decide if she should push to make this policy for everyone in Seattle.
