Michigan State Police say 7 people were hurt in a vehicle crash on U.S. 23 near Textile Road in Pittsfield Township
14-year-old Jordan Siegel and 12-year-old Ashley Siegel died in the crash.
Witnesses tell police the family was traveling on southbound U.S. 23 when their Ford Expedition was cut off by another driver. Dawn Siegel was at the wheel at the time of the accident with
her 4 children and 2 step-children, Jordan and Ashley. According to police, she tried to avoid the vehicle by swerving onto the median shoulder, but the SUV rolled over multiple times when she lost control.
Police are looking for the driver of a light gray or silver minivan, which may be a Honda Odyssey. We're told the vehicle, which allegedly had a paper license plate, continued traveling on U.S. 23. The driver may have been a woman around 40 years old and of Arabic descent.
