Canterbury Village to Host Scottish Highland Games

The Scottish American Society of Michigan is hosting its second annual Scottish Highland Games at Canterbury Village on Friday, June 30 and Saturday, July 1.

The Scottish American Society of Michigan is an organization whose goal is to preserve and further Scottish heritage and culture throughout Michigan.

The new Highland games will include heavy athletics, Raggle Taggle Band, Scottish Highland dancers, Irish dancers, Michigan Scottish Pipe Band and Shamus Whiskey Ceilidh Band Saturday night.

Kids will also be able to enjoy games such as Caber Toss, inflatables, a bounce house and four dollar pony rides.

Admission for adults is $5 and kids under the age of eight will not be charged. Parking is also free.

Canterbury Village is located at 2369 Joslyn Court in Lake Orion.
