WARREN, Mich. (AP) -
A key court hearing is scheduled for two men charged with attempted murder in what police say was a plot to have a pregnant woman killed because one of the men didn't want another child.
Jamal Rogers and Antonio Mathis are to appear Thursday in Warren District Court for a preliminary examination.
They're accused in last month's attack on Latonya Bowman, who was abducted, bound, set on fire and shot.
Police say she survived by rolling on the ground to extinguish the flames and feigning death. They say Rogers was her former boyfriend and wanted Bowman dead because he didn't want another child.
Bowman is expected to recover. She gave birth to a boy days after the attack.
