HAMTRAMCK, Mich. (WJBK) -

Police say a 23-year-old man was shot and killed during a gun fight on the streets of Hamtramck.

Family members tell FOX 2's Al Allen that Quentus Parham was visiting family and friends Monday night when some sort of argument broke out. Police say a gun battle ensued after a brief chase in the area of Commor and Grand Haven Streets, just west of I-75.

Allen says Parham was shot several times. Dozens of shell casings were found in the streets.

Family says Parham used to live in the area, but recently moved away. "He had to be at the wrong place at the wrong time," said Darcel Rush, the victim's cousin. They say he leaves behind a five-year-old daughter.

Michigan State Police are handling the investigation. No arrests have been made, but Allen reports police are looking for at least two suspects.
