Kids love picking out new school supplies. But unfortunately these hard economic times mean some kids won't get the school supplies they deserve. FOX 2 is teaming up with 96.3 WDVD and Volunteers of America for Operation Backpack. We're stuffing buses with supplies to ensure every child is prepared for the new school year.
Drop-off between Thursday, August 2nd – Sunday, August 5th.
Thursday/Friday: 8:00am-7:00pm
Saturday: 9:00am-7:00pm
Sunday: 9:00am-6:00pm
There are three drop-off locations:
Sterling Heights: Lakeside Mall (Hall Rd, east of Schoenherr) Bus is located in the parking lot on the south side of the mall near the food court entrance.
Royal Oak: Kroger (Woodward Ave. & 13 Mile Rd.) Bus is located in Kroger parking lot on southwest corner.
Taylor: Southland Center (Eureka Rd, between Racho Blvd. and Pardee Rd.) Bus is located in the Southland Center parking lot on Eureka Road
Last year we collected 1,200 supply-filled backpacks; let's exceed that this year - don't miss the bus!
