One day after investigators put out a plea for help from the public, there is a renewed focus on the Oakland County Child Killer case.
On Tuesday, Prosecutor Jessica Cooper announced a DNA link between hairs found on two of the victims and hairs found in the Bonneville belonging to convicted sexual predator Arch Sloan. While the hairs are not Sloan's, investigators believe they could belong to an associate of his - who could be the killer. And that killer could have had access to the 1969 Chevy.
The car had a camper on the back which investigators are particularly interested in because most of the murders took place in the cold weather. They say Sloan probably wasn't driving the ragtop Bonneville in the wintertime.
Meanwhile, Barry King, the father of Tim King, was in court on Wednesday, suing the Oakland County Prosecutor for access to evidence and information regarding his son's murder so many years ago. A judge ruled he will be able to see some of that information, including a search warrant and affidavit from Chris Busch's home. King believes Busch was involved. He was a well known pedophile who committed suicide. He was also the son of a big shot auto executive.
Investigators are not ruling Busch out, but believe the real key to solving this case is Sloan..
