Author dishes on new Mick Jagger book

Posted: Updated:

Journalist and No. 1 New York Times best selling author Christopher Andersen revealed details to FOX 2 this morning about his newly-released book Mick: The Wild Life and Mad Genius of Jagger.

As the 50th anniversary of the Rolling Stones approaches, Anderson introduces a tell-all biography about Mick Jagger.

"Don't forget, Mick was the original pioneer of androgyny gender-bending on the stage," said Andersen.

Andersen said money and acceptance by the aristocracy have driven Mick to success throughout his life.

"I've been working on this since the Altamont Rock Festival, which I covered in 1969. I covered that for Time Magazine ... I just remembered then that I had to write a book about this someday," said Andersen. "Over those years I interviewed hundreds and hundreds of people."

In the novel, Andersen uncovers details about Jagger's sexual exploits, backstage drama, drug use, business deals and his thoughts on today's superstars.
