DETROIT (WJBK) -

The space once occupied by world-renowned chef Wolfgang Puck at MGM Grand Detroit will soon become a sports bar.

Officials announced Tuesday that TAP will open this fall inside the casino's 9,500-square-foot space once occupied by Wolfgang Puck Grille, which closed earlier this year.

"TAP promises to be unlike any other sports pub," said Steve Zanella, general manager of MGM Grand Detroit. "It will be a comfortable place to enjoy inspired menu offerings and high-quality beer, and capture the passion of a great sports town where people love and support their teams.

TAP will divided into three areas that includes a 292-seat dining room, along with a private dining room for 100. Thirty flat-screen televisions will also be on-hand for sports fans.
