A 15-year-old Holly Township boy is in critical condition after he was found hanging from a piece of playground equipment at the Davisburg Elementary School in Springfield Township.
The Oakland County Sheriff's office says someone called 911 and responding deputies and the Springfield Fire Department found the teenager hanging by his neck. The victim had a faint pulse and was taken to Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc.
Deputies say the incident appears to be a tragic accident. The teen was with an 18-year-old woman at the time of the accident.
According to police, the teen was playing on a zip-line when he got tangled in the chain and rubber rope used to hold onto. Deputies used bolt cutters to free the young man, and the "rope" was taken off of the zip-line before being taken to the OCSO Forensic Lab for examination.
